Villa Villekulla bio picture

Welcome to Villa Kulla!

A bemused tale of how one Dane, 2 Ethiopians, a Detroiter and an American/Dane found Pippi Longstocking's house in the Baltimore area and moved right in. Technically Pippi's house is in Sweden, but moving there would have been a commuter nightmare- so we found the closest thing to Villa Villekulla in our neck of the woods.

Our house is an old, money pit and John and I are learning to be crafty- very, very crafty. This blog is my little place to journal  and post photographs of our children, Kaia (8), Josie (6) and Noah (4) as they grow, and to share my decor obsession by posting visual and tasty things I find on the internet and elsewhere.

Thanks so much for stopping  by!

Charlotte

Birthday Promises.

Today is my husband John’s birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

John is at work now, but if he was home I would absolutely go completely out of character and let him drink beer and eat fried chicken wings and chips all day long- while watching ESPN.
But when he does get home this afternoon I promise that:...

Let’s Share our Stories.

In the past years I have enjoyed and learned so much from the Ethiopian adoption community of bloggers. These blogs are an incredible resource to parents who are just starting the process, or waiting or even those of us who are already home with our kids. There are parents who at any given moment are...
